Sean Martyn

Managing Director & Head of Baker Hughes Capital Solutions

Sean leads, since 2018, a specialist financing team within Baker Hughes that originates and executes transactions that support the company’s commercial activities and technology strategy with a particular focus on energy transition projects and venture stage technology.

Prior to this role, Sean spent 22 years with GE in a number of financing leadership roles in the US and Europe, the most recent of which was Managing Director at GE Capital’s Energy Financial Services’ unit where he was responsible for oil and gas financing. He has led teams that structured numerous equity investments, loans, leases, Export Credit Agency transactions and sales financing programs in the Power, Renewables, Oil & Gas, Transportation and Healthcare segments. He started his career in 1993 as an internal auditor for Groupe Accor in Paris, France before joining GE Capital in 1996.

Sean serves on the boards of Levidian Nanosystems Limited, Borg Co2 AS, Electrochaea GmbH and ExerGo SA.
