Levidian awarded Verified Graphene Producer status

Levidian has successfully passed a rigorous evaluation to achieve the official Verified Graphene Producer® designation, recognising Levidian’s excellence in producing graphene using the patented LOOP system.

The Graphene Council administers the Verified Graphene Producer® program, the only credential that includes independent 3rd party in-person inspections of graphene production facilities, verification of production methods, volumes, and quality control processes. The Verified Graphene Producer® program also includes independent expert testing of graphene materials according to the Graphene Classification Framework (currently being adapted as an official ISO Standard).

This process thoroughly evaluated Levidian’s LOOP technology and, importantly, verifies that a LOOP system deployed anywhere in the world produces Levidian G3 graphene to the same standard as the LOOPs located in Levidian’s Cambridge headquarters. Levidian’s production of both G1 and G3 graphene were evaluated as part of the inspections.

Achieving the Verified Graphene Producer® status is the pinnacle of 3rd party validation a company can achieve to demonstrate the ability to produce genuine graphene materials at a commercial scale.

“Independent inspection and verification of a graphene production facility is the best way to ensure customers receive bona fide graphene materials from a commercially scalable process. It is a critical step in the supply-chain validation process and one we take very seriously.”

Terrance Barkan, Executive Director, The Graphene Council

“We are very aware of the importance of producing a consistent, high-quality product that our customers can rely on. The process of becoming a Verified Graphene Producer® has been an excellent external validator of our production and quality control processes, giving our customers further confidence in the quality of graphene produced by LOOP, anywhere in the world.”

John Hartley, CEO, Levidian

About The Graphene Council

Founded in 2013, The Graphene Council is the oldest and largest trade and professional association for the global graphene sector, serving the needs of graphene researchers, producers, application developers, end-users, regulators, standards bodies, national governments and other critical stakeholders. The Graphene Council connects more than 35,000 materials professionals and experts globally.

The mission of The Graphene Council is to advance and accelerate the commercial adoption of graphene materials on an industrial scale which it achieves through education, developing global standards, testing of materials and the administration of the in-person graphene company verification program.
