We produce graphene, a super-material additive for industrial use

Graphene is both the thinnest and strongest material ever discovered and has unlimited application potential. There is no other additive that can deliver such an impressive range of performance-enhancing attributes in one shot.

What is graphene?

Graphene is a one-atom thick layer of carbon, arranged in a honeycomb pattern. When incorporated into your materials or production processes, it can deliver significant improvements in performance, durability, and efficiency, without increasing weight or complexity.

Key properties:

Tensile Strength

Thermal Conductivity

Lightweight

Stable at High Temperature

Water Repellent

Corrosion Resistant

Beyond single-layer graphene, there is a wide graphene family of materials, including few-layer graphene, nanoplatelets, graphene oxide, and reduced graphene oxide. They all differ in structure, composition, and performance, making them suited to different applications. At Levidian, we produce graphene nanoplatelets.

Where can it be used?

Graphene enables manufacturers to develop innovative, high-performance products that are more sustainable and efficient. Whether you're looking to increase product lifespan, reduce material usage, or improve functionality, graphene provides a scalable solution.

Example benefits of graphene in applications:

  • Batteries that charge faster with improved efficiency and energy density

  • Tyres that last longer, grip better and improve fuel efficiency

  • Concretes and mortars with improved strength and faster curing times

  • Anti-corrosive and hydrogen impermeable paints and polymers

A unique approach to graphene production

Graphene is primarily produced using two main methods: top-down exfoliation, where layers of graphene are stripped from graphite (e.g. via liquid-phase or mechanical exfoliation), and bottom-up synthesis, such as chemical vapour deposition (CVD), which builds graphene atom-by-atom on a substrate. Each method offers trade-offs between cost, quality, scalability, and form.

Levidian makes graphene using a unique cold plasma chemistry, allowing for the production of high-purity graphene from the simple input of methane gas.

  • Low-energy, atom-up production with no additives or catalysts

We produce graphene from methane using patented technology - the Levidian LOOP

  • Unlimited scale with no batch-to-batch variation

Through our network of LOOPs around the world, we can produce large volumes of high-quality, consistent graphene at scale

  • Carbon negative when produced from waste gas

Methane is one of the most damaging greenhouse gases. LOOP can take this gas and lock the carbon into graphene, while simultaneously producing clean hydrogen.

We are one of only a handful of graphene producers that are recognised as a Verified Graphene Producer by The Graphene Council, recognising our ability to produce a consistent, quality-controlled graphene product from anywhere in the world.

Graphene products

Our core product produced by LOOP, G3, is a high-quality graphene powder. In addition to powder, we can create a range of graphene products to suit multiple applications in formats such as pellets, dispersions and masterbatch.
