The team

LAT is made up of a dedicated team of 8 scientists, engineers and technicians with significant expertise in graphene.

This exceptional team drives our work in graphene research, providing outstanding technical support to our customers, while enabling tailored graphene products and integration solutions.

Our research and product development is primarily conducted at our Cambridge Technology Centre, but also within world-class graphene labs and facilities, underscoring our commitment to scientific advancement and customer satisfaction:

- Cambridge Graphene Centre (CGC), based at the University of Cambridge, UK

- Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC), based at the University of Manchester, UK

- Research & Innovation Center for Graphene and 2D Materials (RIC-2D), based at Khalifa University, UAE

- Cranfield University, UK

Example projects

LAT has extensive experience providing expert support and solutions for a multitude of projects, ranging from small-scale R&D to the production of large volume dispersions.

Enabling market-ready battery chemistries through scalable graphene dispersion

LAT developed a tailored dispersion for a leading battery manufacturer, seamlessly integrating into their production process and delivering significant performance gains. This advancement enabled the introduction of a new chemistry to market. Building on this success, LAT has expanded its dispersion capability to support the customer’s ongoing commercial scale-up.

Graphene innovation for lighter, greener packaging

LAT spearheaded the development of a graphene masterbatch for use in a customer’s plastic drinks bottles. By strengthening the polymer, less plastic is required per bottle, reducing material usage while also cutting weight - lowering both shipping costs and associated emissions.

Optimised resin integration for superior protective coatings

LAT successfully integrated our graphene into a leading paint manufacturer’s base resins, optimising graphene dispersion for enhanced performance. When incorporated into the full primer formulation, the dispersions consistently delivered significant improvements in corrosion resistance. The customer is now progressing with formulation optimisation and scale-up planning.
