Customer Case Studies & News
Case Study: Turning UK wastewater into clean hydrogen and graphene
In a first-of-its-kind project in the UK, Levidian teamed up with United Utilities to convert biogas from sewage sludge at the Davyhulme wastewater treatment works in Manchester into two high-value outputs: hydrogen for clean fuel and graphene as an industrial super-material.
Using Levidian’s LOOP technology, the pilot demonstrated the potential for the UK water sector to generate up to 75,000 tonnes of hydrogen annually while producing graphene and cutting emissions.
Case Study: Graphene helps accelerate biodegradability of medical gloves
Levidian has been working with Meditech Gloves and Cranfield University, on the development and manufacture of new surgical and examination gloves with a better environmental footprint.
Through a revised manufacturing process to deliver more sustainable, biodegradeable, protein-free, natural rubber gloves, Meditech and Cranfield University have been able to unlock time and energy savings of up to 50%.
