We're exhibiting at The Advanced Materials Show

Levidian will be at The Advanced Materials Show, taking place at the NEC in Birmingham on 28th and 29th June.

Spread over two days, The Advanced Materials Show will offer an unrivaled insight into current and future materials development, with experts from all aspects of industry in attendance.

Levidian specialises in the sustainable production of high-quality graphene via our decarbonisation system, LOOP. Our technology uses waste methane as a feedstock and captures the carbon in the form of graphene which can then be utilised by a range of industries to create longer-lasting products with increased performance.

Levidian will showcase how our graphene can support a range of application areas, including:

  • Batteries & energy transfer

    • Graphene has a role to play in a host of battery-related applications from improving electrical characteristics in battery electrodes (both anodes and cathodes) to heat dissipation coatings to make batteries last longer, charge faster, take up less space, or mitigate excess heat. Levidian’s graphene has, when used as an additive in lithium ion batteries, demonstrated an improvement in both charge and discharge rates.

  • Composites

    • Composite materials are at the forefront of the demand to meet CO2 emissions due to their ability to offer weight reduction to industries such as automotive and aerospace. Graphene can be used to realise benefits throughout the composite production process, as well as in the end products themselves. This includes applications in fabrics, tooling, resins, and adhesives.

  • Thermoplastics

    • Utilising graphene in thermoplastic elastomers, such as TPU, can increase the tensile properties and create longer-lasting, more durable products. This also supports in recycled thermoplastic blends such as PET, where the increased mechanical properties from graphene can support a circular production process, allowing more recyclability and repeat use of recycled polymers with prime polymers.

“We are very excited to be promoting our graphene solutions at The Advanced Materials Show. Levidian G3 is a specialised carbon negative additive, which enables industry to achieve its targets in areas such as light-weighting or sustainability in construction materials. With constant stresses in the global supply chain, Levidian ensures security of supply, by producing our G3 at our customer’s production location, anywhere in the world, all whilst reducing CO2 emissions impact. Come and talk to us about reaching your innovation goals and how Levidian can help.”

About Levidian graphene

Levidian graphene is a product of our patented LOOP system. The carbon extracted via our process is locked into “bottom-up” graphene with no batch-to-batch variation. Levidian graphene is primarily offered as a few layer non-functionalised graphene (Levidian G3) and a dominated single layer non-functionalised graphene (Levidian G1) is also available. Our graphene products are sustainable and, when produced using waste gas, carbon negative. The Levidian Applied Technologies team can assist customers in developing dispersions and applications to meet specific needs.

About Levidian Applied Technologies

Levidian Applied Technologies (LAT) is our specialist team dedicated to developing graphene-enhanced products and solutions. Our experienced team can support with a wide range of product research and development requirements. Starting from the earliest evaluation stages, the LAT team works with clients to determine the most appropriate approach to utilising Levidian graphene. We can conduct extensive testing in-house and work with other in-house and university-led research teams.
