Based at our Cambridge Technology Centre, this role offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute directly to the development of our decarbonisation products and R&D initiatives. Focusing primarily on our in-house production and prototype systems, it's ideally suited to a mechanically oriented development engineer who thrives in a dynamic, practical environment.
Main Responsibilities
Lead the operation of and experimentation on development systems, targeting continuous improvements as we widen our understanding and develop our next generation technology.
Prototyping, troubleshooting and solution development on systems for roll-out to customer-based field units.
Work with the Engineering team supporting detailed specification of system components such as vessels, piping, valves, control systems and structural elements.
Involvement in and contributions to HAZID and HAZOP.
Engagement with multiple stakeholders to understand practical and design problems from different perspectives and guide direction of the development programme.
Mapping priorities across development team projects and feeding into decision making to ensure equipment utilisation is optimised for fast-paced learning.
Maintain detailed records and organised data capture to enhance data-driven analytics.
Carry out regular system maintenance, cleans and material collection.
Perform manual repairs and/or upgrades to systems where necessary.
About You
We’re looking for someone who will be comfortable taking ownership for the development and optimisation of our process systems. Levidian is constantly growing and learning, and you will enjoy using your expertise to improve how we operate and be comfortable being challenged in fast-paced, exciting work environment.

You will be able to demonstrate:
A strong drive for technology innovation with involvement in new concept development through to commercialisation.
A good level of practical mechanical experience and/or process system operations such as gas management systems, HVAC, oil & gas or building services.
Strong analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
Excellent track-record of applied problem-solving.
Ability to perform testing, build fixtures, assess and troubleshoot equipment.
Clear communication and collaborative.
Your Qualifications
While a degree in chemical, mechanical, process engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, substantial and relevant industry experience is of equal value.
