Levidian Showcases Industrial Graphene Production at Global Graphene Commercialization Summit 2026
Levidian participated in the inaugural Global Graphene Commercialization Summit 2026 in Seoul, South Korea, where the company was invited to present its graphene production technology and commercialisation strategy to an international audience of industry leaders, researchers and technology developers.
Hosted by South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), and organised by the Korea Carbon and Nano Industry Association (KCANIA), the summit brought together organisations from across the global graphene value chain to discuss pathways for accelerating the adoption of graphene and advanced materials.
Representing Levidian at the event, Dr Arun Prakash Aranga Raju, Senior Technical Leader - Technology Commercialisation, delivered a presentation on the company’s patented LOOP technology and its progress in scaling the commercial production and application of graphene.
The presentation drew on Levidian's growing experience producing graphene at industrial scale and supporting commercial application development across multiple sectors.
The event highlighted the increasing global focus on advanced materials and the growing momentum behind graphene commercialisation across sectors including energy, electronics, batteries, infrastructure and manufacturing.South Korea is widely recognised as one of the world’s leading advanced manufacturing economies, with particular strengths in battery materials, semiconductors and electronics. The country’s ability to rapidly translate innovation into industrial deployment makes it an important market for graphene adoption and advanced materials development.
Dr Arun Prakash Aranga Raju said: “It was a privilege to represent Levidian at the first Global Graphene Commercialization Summit and engage with organisations from across the graphene ecosystem. South Korea has developed an impressive advanced manufacturing capability and there is a clear focus on turning promising technologies into commercial reality. The conversations throughout the event reinforced the growing interest in scalable graphene production and practical industrial applications.”
The summit also provided an opportunity for Levidian to strengthen relationships with existing partners and engage with potential customers and collaborators across the region.Earlier this year, Levidian signed a Memorandum of Understanding with JEIO, a global leader in carbon materials, to explore the deployment of LOOP technology and graphene production opportunities in South Korea.
During the visit, Levidian also spent time with regional partner Pterons, which continues to support the company’s business development activities in the Korean market.Together, these partnerships are helping to establish the foundations for future graphene production and commercialisation opportunities in one of the world’s most dynamic advanced materials economies.
Levidian is one of a small number of companies globally producing graphene at industrial scale, supporting customers as they move from research and testing into commercial deployment.
As demand for high-performance and sustainable materials continues to grow, Levidian remains focused on supporting industrial customers with scalable graphene production and application development across sectors including coatings, polymers, infrastructure, energy and advanced manufacturing.
