Levidian's Ellie Galanis speaks at key advanced materials events
This week, Ellie Galanis, Commercial Director at Levidian, spoke at two events bringing together leaders from across the advanced materials sector to discuss the growing commercial role of graphene and other advanced carbon materials.
On Tuesday 7 July, Ellie presented at the Advanced Carbons Council Networking Event, before speaking again on Wednesday 8 July at the The Advanced Materials Show as part of the Advanced Carbons Council (ACC) Conference.
Ellie Galanis, Commercial Director, Levidian. Professor Krzysztof Koziol, Chief Scientific Officer, Levidian and Head of Centre for Materials at Cranfield University
Across both events, Ellie explored one of the key challenges facing graphene today: while the material has long been recognised for its ability to improve corrosion resistance, barrier performance and coating durability, widespread adoption depends on more than proven material performance.
The discussion focused on the importance of creating a compelling value proposition for both end users and paint manufacturers, and why collaboration with industry innovators is essential to moving graphene from laboratory research into commercially successful products.
As interest in advanced materials continues to grow, events such as these provide valuable opportunities to share knowledge, collaborate across the industry and accelerate the adoption of technologies that can deliver both performance and sustainability benefits.
Many thanks to the Advanced Carbons Council and the organisers of the The Advanced Materials Show for hosting these excellent events.
